Electronic Records Management Program (ERM)
An electronic record is a record created, generated, sent, communicated, received and stored by electronic means and one that requires some form of computer technology to access and use. One of the greatest challenges facing Records managers today is the complexities and issues surrounding the management of electronic records due to the explosion of Information Technology
This is a three (3) days training program designed for personnel responsible for designing, implementing and maintaining electronic records and information systems to enable them comply with the regulatory and ICT records management requirements, understand the security, risks and threats surrounding electronic records and the applicable measures for mitigating them
Aim of the program
Equipping the records personnel responsible for managing electronic records and
information systems with the necessary skills to enable them perform their duties more efficiently

- Understand the regulatory and other RM requirements for managing electronic records
- Identify the risks and threats associated with managing E. records and the measures
- to mitigate them
- Understand security issues surrounding Electronic records
- Understand the principal tools for managing electronic records processes
- Develop and maintain security systems for E- records and information management
- Understand the process of implementing an electronic Records Management system (EDRM)
