CAA-ATO RECORDS MANAGEMENT & CONTROL PROGRAM (CAR)
Training Overview
Record management is a systematic and administrative control of records throughout their life cycle to ensure efficiency and economy in their creation, use, handling, storage, maintenance and disposal.The goal of maintaining an efficient record keeping system for a CAA school is to provide a comprehensive and evidence of all training activities and student progress in order to support compliance with regulations, safety, operations efficiency, accountability and track the student progress. The CAA ATO records Management and control is a five (5) days program providing hand on experience on effectively managing the CAA school ATO records in order to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and ultimately support the safe operation of the entire aviation system
Aim
Equip participants with the fundamental knowledge, skills and attitude to enable them to effectively manage ATO records in compliance with CARs regulations and other applicable requirements
Target group
Head of Training (HT), Quality Manager (QM), Chief Trainers Instructors and Examiners, Records and Administrative Personnel, Quality Assurance & Safety Personnel, Training coordinators, Documentations team (Librarians & Records Officers) I.C.T teams among others
Training Objectives
- Understand the regulatory requirements for managing CAA ATO School Records and record-keeping systems.
- Understand the ISO 15489 standard records management compliance requirements and its application to ATO records.
- Understand the types, purposes and process of managing and controlling the records of different courses offered.
- Understand the process of documenting ATO records management policies and procedures.
- Understand the process of managing and controlling the ATO electronic records and transitioning to digital recordkeeping.
- Understand the process of auditing an ATO records management system.
